Anaerostats – types ANS1, ANS0a, ANS0b

The device is used for the cultivation and preservation of microorganisms in an anaerobic environment. The required atmosphere inside the jar can be achieved in several ways:

  • Flushing: Displacement of air by gas from a pressure cylinder.
  • Evacuation and Filling: Suctioning out the air followed by the introduction of the required gas mixture.
  • Chemical Method: Use of an anaerocult, which ensures a protective atmosphere throughout the cultivation period.

The anaerostat  is made of transparent high-pressure PVC. Model ANS0b is equipped with a removable lid with a seal and a central closure; it is intended exclusively for use with an anaerocult. Models ANS1 and ANS0a are additionally fitted with two valves and a pressure gauge for active gas filling.
